There is no series of exercises or mythical magic potion of that will rapidly endow instant psychic talent on you. As with all skills, it takes time and effort for to develop your psychic abilities. Some people suggest that doing yoga will help, and while it is possible that mental and physical exercises can be an aid to developing your psychic awareness, I think that if you like doing yoga, do it for its own sake, and not purely as an aid to develop your psychic potential.
An important point to remember at the outset is that not every sensitive person has the same kind of psychic gift. The most common effect is to feel things or to be aware of things on a sub-conscious level, however, some people are definite psychic receptors, while others are physical mediums who have the ability to move things around with their minds. Some see ghosts; others see auras, while some are healers or mediums who can bridge the gap between the living and the dead.
I am often asked if you need to become vegetarian or vegan to be a psychic. It is true that the worldwide interest in spirituality began in the 70s with bands such as the Beatles travelling to India and visiting several Yogi there. As a result of this the Hindu and Buddhist ways of life quickly spread throughout the western world, bringing vegetarianism with them. I personally know many psychics that are vegetarian, however I know just as many if not more that are meat eaters. If you have a personal belief that eating meat will block your psychic abilities then by all means lead a vegetarian lifestyle, it may even be good karma if you believe in reincarnation!
To begin developing your psychic abilities you could join a spiritualist church or a psychic centre in your area. There are also specialist magazines that will advertise training on Tarot, palmistry, and astrology. Always research an opportunity fully before committing to it as there are a lot of scam artists who will gladly take your money and offer no training in how to develop your psychic potential.
I found the best place to start was my local library, this offered a huge range of books and magazines on all aspects of spirituality. Read widely from many different authors to get a good perspective and a range of views on each topic, do not treat everything you read as true and use your common sense before delving too deeply into certain areas. Listen to your inner voice when you are deciding on the path to take in developing your psychic potential, your conscience and your sub-conscious will look after you.
